DÉBORA & BRUNO
LISBON, PORTUGAL
Wedding in Alenquer, Lisbon.
“To see her walkimg towards me, step by step, made me remember the day she passed by me for the first time, and everything we had lived until then. It made my day!” That’s what Bruno said when I asked about the most emotional moment of the day. Needless to say I ran to see my photo’s of Débora entering the ceremony, to make sure I had captured the moment well. I think I got a faithful document of their reaction and emotion. To be able to capture those special moments is what moves me. Even more so when shooting another photographer’s wedding. It’s a greater responsability.
In the beginning it was hectic, with Débora, Bruno and their two children (actually three, for there was another one on the way) getting ready for the party, as they dealt with the last details of the decor. But there was a moment thst stood out: the sand ceremony, which had a special meaning. Débora and Bruno poured into a bottle grey and yellow sand (the colors of the wedding). The kids poured sand from the beach where they met and where they spent some time in their first years together.
And then it was all about enjoying the day in this peaceful and welcoming place. And take the time to swing…
